San Diego parents now have a new wellness sanctuary designed just for them. Om Baby Bliss (OBB Pilates) in North Park is the city’s first Pilates and yoga studio tailored specifically to new and expecting families. From prenatal movement to postpartum recovery to bonding classes for parents and little ones, the studio offers a wide range of programs that honor every stage of the parenthood journey.
From Pandemic Mom Group to Community Hub

Om Baby Bliss Founder / Owner Jamie Schiffer
Founder Jamie Schiffer was inspired to start Om Baby Bliss from her own motherhood journey.“I gave birth to [my first child] on February 14, 2020—right before the global pandemic,” she recalls. “I joined a mom’s group virtually and started teaching them yoga. I realized we were having better conversations while we were working out than when we were just in our mom’s group. So I started teaching Mommy & Me classes in yoga and Pilates, and from there, I just kept growing and growing.”
Now, with three little ones—including her youngest, Everest, who’s just a few months old—Jamie teaches full time while bringing her kids along for the ride. “I love getting to bring my kids to work with me,” she says. “I love learning from other moms, helping them find time to move their bodies, bond with their babies, and meet other moms in the same stage of life. Honestly, there’s not one thing about this work that doesn’t give me joy.”
A Class for Every Chapter of New Parenthood

Om Baby Bliss’ class lineup is thoughtfully curated to meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of new + expecting families:
For Expecting Parents: Prenatal Yoga, Prenatal/Postpartum Reformer Pilates, Mat Pilates, and Partner & Me classes help moms-to-be stay strong and supported through pregnancy.
For New Moms: Mama & Me (<6 months), Baby-&-Me Dance Barre, and postpartum Pilates options aid recovery while offering connection with other mothers.
For Dads + Caregivers: Baby & Daddy Village (<2 years) and Daddy & Me Milestones classes encourage bonding between fathers and their babies.
For Littles: Toddler Yoga / Yogalates (ages 1–3) makes mindful movement fun for the smallest family members.
For Adults Only: Bootcamp Pilates, Candlelight Gentle Yoga, and sound baths provide parents with time to recharge on their own.
Community Outdoors: Outdoor prenatal and postpartum Pilates classes in the park (with little ones welcome) bring movement into the fresh air.
60 Day Bear Plank Challenge: Parents can build strength week by week while connecting with the community through a private Instagram group and email series offering daily motivation, recipes for postpartum nutrition, and weekly raffle prizes.
Massage: Prenatal and postpartum massage sessions specifically designed to help with back pain, tension release, circulation and to promote relaxation. Childcare can be made available while parents receive their massage, making self-care truly accessible.
Beginners are welcome and no prior Pilates experience is needed. “It’s very beginner-friendly,” Schiffer states. “We go very slowly—especially in our baby classes—and do fewer exercises than in a typical Pilates class, but you still feel the burn and get to move your body.”
Classes also double as community connection spaces to start building your village. “We start every class with a share—introducing your name, your baby’s name and age—and usually end with another icebreaker,” Schiffer explains. “New moms just need someone to talk to in those first few months postpartum, and the community piece really makes a difference.”

A Community Hub for Families

As they say, it truly takes a village. "It really is about community,” Schiffer says. “My hope is to keep expanding our offerings so every mom can find what she needs, and eventually build an outreach arm to support local nonprofits.”
