This Weekend: Yoga for a Cause
Two local yoga studios are hosting special donation-based yoga events to raise funds to solve homelessness in San Diego. Sign up and make a difference!
Flow for a Cause: Sunday, October 24
The event includes:
- Heart-opening yoga flow and meditation
- Local food and juice vendors
- Connect with 12 non-profits and learn how you can help end homelessness in San Diego by donating money, time or your talents
Registration is free; $20 suggested donation.

About Yoga Church San Diego
Yoga Church San Diego was founded in 2020 by Danna Yunis, creator and yoga instructor, to bring like-minded people together and provide affordable yoga to the wider San Diego community. At Yoga Church you’ll find all yoga levels, indoor and outdoor classes, taught by Yoga Church’s diverse teachers.

Taste of OG Yoga: Saturday, October 23-Sunday, October 24
This weekend, OG Yoga in Normal Heights is hosting a weekend-long Taste of OG Yoga event where you can sample their yoga classes either online or in-person at their studio in Normal Heights.
Classes and workshops include:
- Hatha & OG Flow Yoga
- Yoga for Veterans
- Chair Yoga
- OG Ashtanga
- Yoga Nidra
- Yoga for healing trauma
- Art Therapy
You can purchase individual class passes or 1- or 2-day passes for the event. 100% of all proceeds will go directly to providing yoga, meditation and mindfulness to students experiencing poverty, PTSD, homelessness, at-risk youth and other underserved needs.
Lunch will also be available onsite from Dreams’ Cuisine Food Truck, a project of Dreams for Change that provides healthy food and workforce training throughout San Diego.
About OG Yoga
OG Yoga was created in 2015 by joining forces with other nonprofit organizations to bring trauma healing through yoga to underserved and vulnerable communities. OG Yoga instructors provide mindful-based yoga to youth, seniors and adults facing homelessness, poverty, abuse, incarceration, and reentry.
