A New Kind of Conscious Community Rises in San Diego

Tucked away in a creative enclave in Solana Beach known as the “W1SE Castle,” a new kind of start-up ecosystem is taking shape: one that blends spirituality, wellness, music, and entrepreneurship under a single roof. W1SE, which stands for “The World 1nitiative for Sustainable Earth,” this movement is part conscious community, part festival-inspired collective, and part innovation hub.

Founded by Aleksandr “Alex” Dovgal,  a Ukrainian-born innovator and entrepreneur with a diverse background ranging from transportation logistics to Web3 technology, W1SE is more than just a physical space. It’s a multi-layered ecosystem: a curated marketplace of artisan wellness goods, a recording studio and music label dedicated to high-vibration, cross-cultural sounds, a podcast and media platform, and a community hub where entrepreneurs, artists, scientists, musicians, and healers collaborate. At its core, W1SE is building a global movement (the “W1SE Tribe”) rooted in ancestral wisdom, spiritual connection, and sustainable futures.

“Six years ago was the most difficult time in my life,” says Dovgal. “I was almost completely lost. What saved me was the right community—people who came together, supported each other, and showed me that when we unite, there are no limits. Everything becomes possible. That’s when I decided all I want to do is build community and create spaces where people can rise together, find solutions, and unlock their best selves.”

That vision now comes to life in a big way with the inaugural W1SE Summit, happening October 4th at The Sound at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. The summit is designed as a transformative, one-day immersion that fuses elements of a wellness retreat, music festival, and conscious business conference.

With its nonprofit model, the summit also holds a deeper mission: to amplify Indigenous voices and traditions. This year, W1SE is partnering with the Yawanawá people of Brazil, introducing attendees to their art, jewelry, music, and sacred practices—all while supporting their community’s sustainability projects.
