Gwyneth Paltrow’s wellness-minded food brand goop kitchen makes its San Diego debut at Del Mar’s One Paseo on August 31, bringing its signature menu, a new dine-in experience and a very Southern California launch campaign.
San Diego is about to get its first taste of goop kitchen, and for the first time, that taste can be enjoyed around a table.
This coming Monday, Gwyneth Paltrow’s goop kitchen will open at One Paseo in Del Mar Heights, marking a new chapter for the brand as its first full-service, dine-in location.

Since launching in 2021, the Los Angeles-born, wellness-minded food brand has built its West Coast presence around delivery and takeout, with a menu centered on ingredient-driven, nourishing food. The Del Mar Heights location will serve up the same iconic dishes found at the brand’s other locations, including its signature bowls, salads and mains, all built around thoughtfully sourced, nutrient-dense ingredients. What's new in Del Mar is the setting — a full-service indoor/outdoor space designed for gathering, connection, and enjoying those dishes fresh from the kitchen rather than out of a delivery bag.

Local skate group GRLSWIRL
To celebrate its new coastal home, goop kitchen has unveiled its “Now Surfing Serving San Diego” launch campaign, capturing the surf and sunny vibes of a classic Southern California day. Shot on digital, film, and Super 8, the project highlights San Diego icons in their element, including:
- Pro surfer Rob Machado alongside his daughter, model and surfer Rose Machado
- Pro surfer Taylor Knox and surfboard shaper Chris Borst
- GRLSWIRL, one of the largest women-founded skate collectives
- Joni Hargrave, founder of Goldie
- Codie Cabral, founder of Moms Who Kinda Surf
Rather than a staged photo shoot, the campaign documents quintessential San Diego moments like mornings in the line-up, neighborhood skate sessions, and family time by the beach. It reflects the exact role goop kitchen aims to play in Del Mar as an easygoing gathering spot to wander in from the beach, bring the kids, share a few dishes, and stay awhile.

goop kitchen is also slated to open a second San Diego County location at UC San Diego's new Triton Center in La Jolla, a new campus hub with retail, restaurants, wellness facilities, event spaces, and Triton Plaza, a large public gathering area. Triton Center is expected to begin opening in phases in fall 2026, although an exact opening date for goop kitchen has not yet been announced.
Together, the two locations suggest that goop kitchen sees an opportunity to carve out a meaningful place in San Diego — from the coastal, family-oriented lifestyle of Del Mar to the bustling university community in La Jolla. For now, though, the focus is on the brand's first-ever dine-in restaurant opening at One Paseo on Monday, August 31.
