Elixir de la lune Cafe Takes Flight in Bird Rock

Lavande Wellness Boutique's new Elixir de la Lune cafe in Bird Rock, La Jolla serves healthy, vibrant plant-based meals, lattes and botanical-infused mocktails.

Located in the heart of the Bird Rock neighborhood in La Jolla, Elixir de la Lune is a holistically-centered cafe serving healthy and vibrant meals, tea, cacao and botanical-infused non-alcohol cocktails. Elixir de la Lune is founded by Kristy Hambrick, the owner of Lavande Wellness Boutique, which is a unique gift shop, healing center and event space located right next door.

The Elixir cafe is a beautiful haven and a great space to meet with friends, do some coworking or simply enjoy a healthy meal. The cafe is bright and airy, and the main focal point of the space is an inspiring mural with hidden messages and symbols, each of which are tied to 12 blends of flower essences that are added to the handcrafted mocktail elixir drinks. Each flower essence is titled with an affirming word like “Serenity” or “Compassion” and the ingredients within each essence help to cultivate and support that affirmation.

The menu

All of Elixir's food menu items are crafted with plant-based, organic and gluten-free ingredients. Choose from several varieties of toast, overnight oats, soups, wraps, salads, bowls, smoothies, lattes, elixir mocktails and desserts.

Standout selections include a raw beet and quinoa bowl with dill, green olives, lemon garlic dressing and pumpkin seeds; a maple tahini white bean falafel caesar wrap; or a mexican toast with housemade mole sauce, spiced black beans, avocado, tomato and cilantro.
