Season 2, Episode 10: Owning Your Health Journey with Wynn Austin of Wynn’s Kitchen
When it comes to your health, sometimes you just have to take matters into your own hands.
Wynn Austin was diagnosed with high blood pressure at the age of 36, despite her active and what she thought to be a healthy lifestyle. She started her health journey by looking closely at her diet + reading labels and what she found surprised her. All of the traditional Asian sauces that she had grown up with and loved were full of salt, sugar, gluten + preservatives so she set out to create her own — and that’s how Wynn’s Kitchen was born.
In this episode, Wynn shares:
- how Whole30 + eliminating certain foods helped her heal
- what ingredients to look for on labels, even for vegan or organic-labeled foods
- how she started a food product business without any culinary background (and you can too!)
- the value of networking, asking questions + not giving up
- where to find Wynn’s Kitchen sauces in San Diego + online
