Grind House Cycle Brings Seaside Spin Classes to Encinitas

Newest Spin Class in Encinitas
Grind House Cycle, Encinitas' newest cycle studio, has moved into the old Ride Cyclery barn on the Pacific Coast Highway in downtown Encinitas. The new space features a large indoor community gathering area, a patio balcony with ocean views, and a large spin studio complete with state-of-the-art spin bikes.
“It all happened in divine timing,” says Jaimie Bailey, Grind House Cycle founder and co-owner. “We moved here in July from New York. I was dropping my son off at surf camp at Moonlight Beach when I saw the For Lease sign and I jumped on it immediately!”
Grind House Cycle is a spin-off from Grind House BK — Bailey and team's first gym, located in Brooklyn, New York. The spin class in Encinitas follows the same Grind House cycling method: a 45-minute athletic and rhythmic ride, using a refined mix of resistance and speed to create an innovative interval-based cycling experience. The studio features gold-standard Life Fitness ICG spin bikes which are safe, effective and tailored to all levels of riding experience.
“This bike can do a lot. Each bike has a tech pack to track resistance and RPMs, and also gives you goals so you don't have to overthink things,” says Bailey.

The ICG bikes also offer a digital app for you to track your rides and other critical performance metrics.
“There's a huge cycling community here in Encinitas,” says Ricky Sanchez, Grind House Cycle Partnerships + Memberships Manager. “Our bikes measure Functional Threshold Power, which is an important metric to know when you are a competitive cyclist. Any cyclist can come in here and test their baseline for FTP.”
Grind House Cycle also offers shoe rentals, showers and complimentary towel service for your use.
