San Diegans unite for a weeklong series of events as communities, Tribal nations, businesses, scientists, artists, policymakers and residents come together to confront the climate crisis.
San Diego Climate Week officially returns from October 1 through October 8, 2026, marking a week-long series of county-wide programming centered on sustainability, environmental education, and community action.
“San Diegans have a front row seat to the climate crisis. It impacts our oceans, our serene coastline and the air we breathe,” said Meg Ferrigno, Ph.D. Co-Chair of San Diego Climate Week, “We are also on the front lines of innovation, collaboration and hope.”
Anchoring the week’s schedule are five signature summits, each focused on a key pillar of local climate resilience (Water, Land, Fire, Air, and People). Recognizing that climate work can be heavy, San Diego Climate Week has partnered with Dr. Elizabeth Swallow of 3 Point Therapy to offer free wellness services throughout each summit, including free massage, acupuncture, qi gong, and chiropractic support.
