The Astreya fine art gallery and creative studio in Pacific Beach is devoted to slower ways of being.
In a modern world built for speed, Astreya offers a counterpoint of presence, connection & stillness. Through art and experiences, the gallery invites quiet reflection - first through the act of the artist's creation, and again through the perspective of the viewer - connecting artist & audience across space and time. We are currently showing stop/motion, a collection of limited-edition fine art photography by Alicia L. Swift that explores the concepts of time and presence through the changing moods of the ocean.
We believe that, like life, art is meant to be savored - so we are appointment-only. We offer 30 minute private viewings, where visitors can quietly sit with the art and meet the artist. Unlike most galleries, we provide seating so guests can stay awhile, without any sales pressure. We also lead Stillness Sessions, a premium 1:1 guided breathwork and meditation practice within the gallery. You'll leave feeling relaxed from the sensual aromatherapy, luxe yoga props, and slow exhales - and inspired from your time in a beautiful setting, surrounded by art.
