We are thrilled to present a special three-part workshop in collaboration with our community partners: Gada Pivot, Vinya: vino + vinyasa, and the San Diego Martial Arts & Community Center (SDMACC). Together, we’ve crafted an experience that brings together passionate people, expert guides, and a fantastic venue in San Diego.
The Gada, commonly known as the steel mace, is a long-handled fitness tool with a weighted ball at one end. Traditionally used in ancient Indian warrior training along with yoga, the steel mace has recently regained popularity in modern fitness due to its exceptional ability to build rotational power, strength, and stability.
Leading this series is Nate Juarez, founder of the International Macebell Sport Association and a Steel Mace Flow Educator. Nate’s mastery of steel mace movements and his dedication to the sport have inspired many people. Throughout the workshop, Nate will guide you through the art and power of steel mace movements, sharing his expertise and passion for the practice. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn from one of the leading figures in the steel mace field!
The second part of the workshop will be led by Ashley Davis, a seasoned practitioner of yoga and meditation with decades of experience. Having spent several years as a Buddhist nun, Ashley brings a deep, mindful approach to her teaching. More recently, she has developed a passion for steel mace training and has been training with Nate for over a year.
These workshops will take place at the SDMACC, a renowned Aikido Dojo that has been a part of the San Diego community for over 21 years. With a spacious venue that hosts up to 150 participants, SDMACC provides the perfect setting for these events.
Investment: $45 per session or $120 for all three sessions
5, 7, and 10 lb maces will be provided. Bring a yoga mat, towel, water, and your mace (if you have one). We can't wait to see you there and practice together!
